Triangle Rowing Club fields both boy's and girl's middle school rowing teams for 7th and 8th-grade athletes.
Middle school athletes typically practice 3 days a week and compete in a limited number of competitive events.
Basic swimming ability is required, but no rowing experience is necessary.
Spring Season consists of sprint races, where boats race side-by-side (usually up to 6 boats per race) on a course that is generally half the distance rowed by high school athletes.
The spring season runs from the middle of February through the middle of May.
