Triangle Rowing Club (TRC) is a membership-based, youth rowing program located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Our team is open to students from 6th- 12th grade, with a Middle School Program that practices 3 days a week, and a High School program that trains 5 days a week.
Reach out to coach@trianglerowing.org to learn how to join the team
Learn-to-Row is for rising 6th to 12th-grade students. Prior experience is NOT required. Your athletes will learn to row in the same types of boats you see in the Olympics! They'll learn how to carry, launch, row, and RACE an 8-person boat with the assistance of our coaches and experienced rowers.
Each program session runs Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. The 2025 fee for each week/session is $285.
Sneak Peek Week is an opportunity for middle school and high school students to try out the sport of rowing! Prospective athletes will participate in a week of practices to determine if TRC is the right fit. SPW concludes with a Saturday parent meeting for new families who wish to join the team. All new athletes are encouraged to attend SPW before registering for the team.
The next SPW opportunity will be at the start of our Fall season, in August
For more information, please visit www.trianglerowing.org/sneak-peek-week
There is a $10 fee associated with SPW
Our 2025 Winter Open Houses have concluded. We invite all prospective athletes to participate in our Spring Sneak Peek Week (see above).
Parents of TRC athletes, both new and returning, are required to attend one of the parent meetings at the beginning of each season. These meetings are used to share all the important information about the upcoming season and to answer any questions you may have about the program.
Before each Fall and Spring season, TRC will provide details on these meetings so all families can attend and get their questions answered.
It is mandatory for an adult from each new and returning rower’s family to attend a parent meeting this season. We will share critical info that every TRC family should have for a successful Spring.
We will hold an in-person meeting on March 8th at 8:30 am at the large Lake Wheeler shelter by the volleyball field. Virtual meeting dates TBD.
Triangle Rowing Club (TRC) wants to make the sport of rowing more accessible to our community. In pursuit of that goal, we support our athletes through need-based financial aid.
Our TRC Financial Assistance fund is an important factor in promoting enrollment by awarding eligible families the monetary boost needed to bring rowing costs within their reach. The club benefits by extending this helping hand, so we earnestly encourage those in need to apply.
