One Time Positions

On-Site Regatta Opportunities - One Regatta Only!

Sign up for any of the following opportunities for just one regatta and your volunteer hours are complete!

Regatta Parent: 

Travels with team to and from regatta on the bus and stays at team hotel. Sends updates via group email to families throughout the weekend. Assists coaches with overseeing athletes safely at roadside stops, food breaks confirm all athletes get on/off the bus throughout the weekend. You may be asked to accompany a sick athlete to emergency care in the event that a parent is not available. All regatta parents should have a working cell phone with them at all times with numbers of coaches on hand and vice versa, coaches need your contact info. Communicates with coaches in a timely and discrete manner if you see anything that you feel is out of line or questionable. Please note any punitive discipline for improper activity is the responsibility of the coaches. If a coach is not present when an activity occurs that you deem inappropriate, do what you feel is necessary to manage the situation, then report it to the coach and let the coach impose the discipline.  Offered discount room at team hotel.

Tent Coordinator: (Seasoned Varsity Parent)

Be present at tent during regattas to assist new volunteers. Work with Volunteer Coordinator & Auditor to cross-reference volunteer attendance. Refers to individual regatta website in advance for details regarding any information about team tents, where water spigot is located and confirm with set-up volunteers as to the location of the team tent. Shows volunteers where everything is, answers questions, coordinates meal schedules with race times. Also, relieves Food coordinator/assistant and other volunteers when they step away to see their child row. Lists race schedules on dry-erase board and update with results. 

Bus Chaperone:
