TRC Board - Board positions are filled by vote at TRC board meetings. Serving on the board does not count toward mandatory volunteer hours.

Sets agendas for the Board activities by identifying issues for consideration. Conducts Board meetings to ensure there is a forum to hear all points of view on key topics and policies. Serves on Disciplinary Review Panel Committee. Conducts parent meetings and End of Year Banquets. Assists Volunteer Auditor to address unfulfilled volunteer obligations. Additional responsibilities as the need arise.

Manages the finances of the Club and signs off on purchases and contractual agreements. Maintains TRC the checking account and other accounts. Pays for all Board-approved club payables including coaching fees, equipment purchases, insurance, travel, uniforms, regatta entry fees, etc, and provides reimbursement to parents and coaches that incur TRC-related expenses. Prepares a monthly Treasurer’s Report for presentation at Board meetings. Serves as primary TRC contact person for most financial transactions, Maintains records of receipts and expenditures. Files tax forms on club behalf. Prepares a long-term asset allocation spreadsheet for board review. Provides bus driver tip money to the Regatta Parent.
Manages TRC correspondence. Takes Board meeting minutes (and other related meetings) and submits them for Board approval. In addition to editing and updating documentation such as the Rower/Parent Handbook.
Creates and sends out news blasts such as: regatta results, recruitment, and additional accomplishments to various media outlets (ie; paper, news stations, schools, rowing organizations, etc.). Coordinates with Social Media Representative, Website Coordinator, and Newsletter Editors.
Posts photos and information about TRC via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook (i.e., regatta results, everyday activities showing our team in a positive manner, and event notices). Coordinates with Public Relations, Website Coordinator, and Newsletter Editors.
Serves as a liaison between the rowers, board, and parents. May involve communicating information or answering questions via email, helping new families/rowers connect with the group and become comfortable as well as planning local team-building events.

Coordinates with other groups that use Lake Wheeler to build relationships with the city to further the growth of our sport. Increase visibility and support the local community through two service projects per year. One service project is Lake Wheeler Clean-up day. Additional activities are subject to Board approval.
Manages Volunteer survey, publishes and maintains documents to track who is storing what items. Coordinates with President/VP and Food Coordinator to confirm volunteer position needs at regattas and dates to be published on the Signup Genius. Send reminders. Sends email to responsible persons to remind of year-long duties and be the contact person if they have any questions/concerns
Works with Volunteer Coordinator and Sports Engine Manager to audit and monitor family volunteer compliance (hours vs. “opt-out”). Send non-compliant members to Board President for further intervention.
Determines appropriate fundraising activities for the season, subject to full Board approval. Coordinates activity with the coaches, and team and facilitates the event. Promotes and manages Sustainers, works with Treasurer to manage funds, and correspondence with corporate matching and donations.
Researches available grants and applies on behalf of our team. For any money that is donated and set up as a scholarship fund, write up criteria, coordinate with theTreasurer, seek Board approval, and advertise accordingly.

Collects pertinent, updated information from TRC Social Media, PR, coaches, board, parents, and any other delegates to create a newsletter to be published to subscribers on a regular basis.
Manages uniform inventory, travel shirts, and jacket orders. Negotiates pricing and delivery with manufacturers. Helps with sales and assists rowers/families with sizing. Attends parent meetings to explain the fitting and purchasing process. Sets up fitting days each season so rowers can try on samples to determine what size they need to purchase.
Keeps Website enticing and relevant being mindful it is the first impression of our team. Updates website with information provided by Social Media Coordinator, Public Relations Representative, Board Members, and other delegates.
Oversees athlete registration and works with Sports Engine Representative and Board to optimize the process.
Communicates equipment needs and repairs with Head Coach during the season.
Coordinates with Head Coach regarding when/which oars need updating and what products to use. Oars can be updated at your home. Works with Board Treasurer for reimbursement of supplies.

A parent that already travels to the lake for drop off and pick up and plans on staying for the duration of practice. Used for miscellaneous issues by coaches as a point of contact. TBD and in direct contact with TRC President and Vice President.
Maintain up to date records of Safe Sport policy changes and ensure TRC is in compliance with policies. Also responsible for maintaining safety equipment in launches & chuck wagon. Works closely with Head Coach as well as board President and CW Coordinator

Responsible for storing the Chuck Wagon on your property in a safe and clean area.
Responsible for maintaining the Chuck Wagon and repairing as necessary. Will work with Equipment Safety Coordinator to ensure all safety checks are up to date.

Great way to learn the ropes. Works with Food Coordinator to create menus. Assists with shopping for regattas, assists with sign-up genius and help work out logistics for food transportation and set up at regatta and hotel.
Transport CW to/from regattas. Pick up CW from storage and coordinate with Food Coordinator for drop-off on site Regatta. Will also work with FC to pick/up at Regatta and return to Storage.
